Eczema Outreach Support

Eczema Outreach Support is a UK charity that helps the families of children with eczema, both practically and psychologically.

As part of its ‘High 5’ Club for children aged 3-10 with eczema, it has just published a new book with lots of fun activities to help children learn more about eczema and become more independent.

We asked the director and founder of the association, Magali Redding, originally from France, how the services the association offers its members are unique:

"At EOS, we believe that all children suffering from eczema and their families should be helped, supported and reassured in order to better manage the impact of the condition on their daily lives. With this in mind, for the past 6 years, we have put in place several initiatives":

  1. We help and support families of children with eczema up to the age of 18 by providing personalized information and one-on-one support, both practical and psychological, through specialized professionals and expertly developed resources.
  2. We help children and teenagers become more independent and self-confident through two virtual clubs: the "High 5" Club (for 3 to 10 year olds) and XY Club (for those over 11). We also work in their schools, organizing workshops to fight stigmatization and bullying.
  3. We provide opportunities for families to meet and share their experiences through numerous events, open discussion sessions and a vibrant online community.
  4. We create customized services, promote research and influence policy by representing our members at the national and international levels.
  5. We help increase understanding of the impact of eczema on the lives of families by educating local communities about the condition through sessions led by healthcare professionals.
